ION has boosted its head count by recruiting another expert to its fast growing team.

Paul Reid, 28 from Whickham was appointed by ION, bringing with him a wealth of experience as a former senior support engineer for global recruitment specialist Nigel Wright. Paul will expand on his experience implementing Salesforce CRM, across distributed teams as part of the company’s ambitious growth plans.Approaching its first year in business next month, ION’s managing director Rob Mathieson believes the team’s combined talent and experience is behind much of the firm’s success and strategic growth since its launch.

He said: “Paul is a very welcome addition to our team. We have some exciting new projects underway, so with a new developer on board to help deliver the high quality work we are becoming known for, the future for ION looks very exciting.

“His experience of working with Salesforce already, ensures he provides our clients with the best possible solutions and ongoing technical support.”

As well as overseeing the delivery of Salesforce across ION’s key markets, including manufacturing, engineering and pharmaceutical sectors, Paul will work closely with technical director and former Nigel Wright colleague, John Huggins, who joined the firm earlier in the year.Mr Reid said: “I have always had a great deal of respect for both John and Rob and their previous careers within the digital sector.

“When the opportunity arose to join an ambitious company in its infancy, I relished the challenge of being there at the start of what looks to be a very exciting journey.“Salesforce isn’t as well known in the North of England as it is further south and across Europe, so it is exciting to introduce the software to forward thinking businesses and enjoy their success as they quickly see the benefits of using the CRM system to grow revenue and increase customer engagement.”

ION Industries was established in August 2016 and secured significant private funding in January to help boost its team of developers and specialists, and expand its Salesforce CRM solutions into new markets.
