ION is recruiting a Marketing Manager to play a pivotal role in the accomplishment of our ambitious business strategy. Answering to the Board of Directors, you will be responsible for contribution to and oversight and execution of ION’s top of the funnel sales and customer acquisition strategy.

Focussing on our financial technologies, you will work with the Managing Director, Business Development Team, and Product Partners to communicate our messaging across multiple channels.

This role requires someone who is a detailed planner, can execute to a schedule and measure and evaluate the outcome. ION uses Pardot for its automated marketing.

The ideal applicant will be hungry for a challenge and happy to be hands on from day one. You will be a skilled digital marketer along with a collaborative and motivational people manager, ideally experienced in up-skilling a junior team.

The core responsibilities include but are not limited to; content planning and production, customer segmentation, campaign plans, email and social marketing, SEO, PPC and partner development.

You will need to be tirelessly energetic, talented, articulate, confident and well organised. This is not an easy role and there are high expectations from the candidate.


  • Update and optimise the company marketing strategy in line with our products and industry solutions.
  • Building and developing a team capable of supporting a high growth business, along with individual personal development.
  • Planning and execution of campaigns which will lead a customer through a purchasing funnel.
  • Design, implement and automate engagement journeys using Pardot.
  • Content production and channel distribution, such as landing pages, articles, videos and insight interviews etc.
  • Planning and delivering webinars and in person events.
  • Measuring and evaluating campaign and channel performance for continuous improvements.
  • Overseeing digital/social marketing to help promote the amazing work our team are doing, new clients being won, content produced and new recruitment roles we have.
  • Overseeing and supporting SEO and the PPC campaigns, based around our product proposition and industry solutions.
  • Working with select suppliers to manage delivery of digital assets.



  • 4+ years experience in marketing, ideally managing a team.
  • Proven experience in designing, planning and executing on marketing plans
  • An in-depth knowledge of key marketing channels and the appropriate use of these.
  • Ability to measure and review performance data.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • An amazing ability to manage yourself and others, ensuring that ongoing marketing is executed consistently and to plan.
  • Provide detailed multi-channel reporting and analytics, demonstrating a significant increase in lead generation and clear ROI.


We don’t need all these things, but they will certainly help.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in content production
  • Experience of using Microsoft Project, or other advanced PM tools.
  • Experience of working with automated marketing tools, preferably Pardot
  • Experience of using Salesforce CRM
  • Previous knowledge of accounting or CRM software products
  • Video content production
  • Event production experience
